I have not found any comparable feedback from us. However, we also have relatively little experience when it comes to this GPU. The best thing to do is to contact Gigabyte support: https://www.gigabyte.com/Support/Graphics-Card.

I also had this problem. I bought the PWM fan adapter for the VGA fan and wanted to reconnect it. Unfortunately, this didn't work, so I used the tweezers to pull the cable out of the back of the graphics card and used the internal connector. I also had to add a splitter (luckily I still had one lying around) so I could plug in other fans. The only problem is that you can't change the minimum speed. Maybe there is a controller for it, then I would install something like that, but at least the whining is gone with the other fans. Optimal for me would be to let the fans run at ~400-500 rpm in idle and only at a game start to go up to 1000 rpm at default and from there further temperature controlled.

Hi, since the system is built on the same as the 2080Ti before it, I say yes you can swap them. I have the 2080Ti version of it and am very happy! Never goes above 62° under full load and the fans on my H150i are louder although I have upgraded others there. Hope this helps you so far and have fun if you could get hold of such a 3080 :)
