The docking station is not explicitly listed for Windows 11, based on the information provided. However, there are indications that the HP USB-C Dock G5 may be compatible with Windows 11, as it is listed as compatible with Windows 11 in other sources. It might be helpful to consult the official HP website for up-to-date information or to keep the drivers up to date.
Automatically generated from the .I use two monitors with this docking station and my HP laptop
100W is the charging power for the notebook via the USB C port. 120W is the power of the docking charger (included). So if your notebook does not need more than 100W, you can charge it via the docking with the USB-C and no longer need the original USB-C charger.
Unfortunately, the availability of this docking station is very poor. We are currently unable to obtain the item from the usual suppliers, which is causing our price to shoot up at times. We also hope to be able to offer a lower price again in the near future.
You can add the two products to the comparison list....I noticed a difference in the charging power (100W or 120W). This can be decisive depending on how many peripherals you attach. In general, I would advise against using this docking station, especially if you plan to attach several screens. Since the HP 2013 UltraSlim docking station, HP has unfortunately only produced unreliable docking stations for my requirements. Unfortunately, they have eliminated the interface to the best performing docking station on all newer notebook models. The prices are also out of proportion with HP docking stations.
Unfortunately, we currently have no information on when the item will be available and when we will be able to deliver it. As soon as something changes in this regard, we will post it here.
Hi Daniel, should work without problems via USB-C. I have HP Dragonfly G2, it works perfectly for me.
If your MacBook has a USB-C Thunderbolt port, yes, but if you are unlucky you will have to update the firmware of the dock (depends on the age of the MacBook and the production date of the dock).
:) I hope it will be delivered for 165, I could imagine that 299 in the system is a mistake, because this dock costs even at HP only 169 francs... https://store.hp.com/SwitzerlandStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=26D32AA&opt=UUZ&sel=ACC&lang=de-CH
I use my HP Elitebook 840 G7 on this docking station with a large LG monitor, works perfectly. The only thing to note is the monitor connections on the G5 (2 x display port, 1 x HDMI) if you want to operate multiple monitors.
I have two lenovo P24h-10 DP connected, and it work perfectly.
i am thinking of 3 factors here, 1. supply and demand 2. digitec works with daily prices 3. the logistics bottleneck in asia may also play a major role. (just my input)
I have now got a Dell D3100 docking station with which I have achieved the same thing. Can be marked as done.
I'm not sure. As far as I know, the G4 does not have a USB-C port. But it needs one.
According to the HP Switzerland website, the docking station fits the HP EliteBook X360 via USB-C port. Thanks to two DisplayPorts and one HDMI port, you could even connect THREE (3) screens! Google knows something like this.....!
