Hi, the original power cable is sufficient
Nein funktioniert nicht. Du solltest sowas nehmen. Lenovo Universal Thunderbolt 4 Dock (Max displays: 4/Max resolution: 8K/60Hz/Supports: 4x4K/60Hz or 1x8K/1x Musst mal schauen welche Thunderbolt Version du hast.
For 2 DisplayPort connections, the Pro or Ultra docking station would have to be used. As these each have 2 display ports Lenovo ThinkPad Pro Dock (DisplayPort, 135W, USB C, USB A) Lenovo ThinkPad Ultra Dock (HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, 135W, USB C, USB A)
Yes! The correct name of the docking station is: Lenovo ThinkPad Ultra Dock 135W 40AJ0135EU.
Either via USB, or with USB receiver for wireless desktop (included with wireless keyboard/mouse); or if the laptop has Bluetooth (which is often the case), then it is coupled directly with it (dock doesn't matter).
For all IBM/Lenovo compatibility questions, there's always the excellent Option Compatibility Matrix (OCM) online ... constantly updated.
No, according to the manufacturer's page, the dock is suitable for the following ThinkPads: For ThinkPad P14s Gen 1; P14s Gen 2; P15s Gen 2; T14 Gen 2; T14s Gen 2; T15 Gen 2; X13 Gen 2. https://www.lenovostore.wien/6028218000-40aj0135eu-lenovo-thinkpad-ultra-docking-station-docking-station.html
According to research, it does not fit. Here you can see if there is a suitable one for your notebook: https://www.lenovo.com/ch/de/accessories-and-monitors/c/ACCESSORY
With Lenovo, it's quite simple: there has been a compatibility matrix for years that is constantly updated; see e.g. https://support.lenovo.com/ch/de/solutions/accs-guide.
No, the necessary connectors are missing (should be 2 x USB-c next to each other, plus a strange proprietary Lenovo slot next to it).
No, definitely not. The best thing to do is to check with Lenovo under the accessories for your laptop to see which dockings are suitable.
According to Lenovo, this docking station fits the Lenovo ThinkPad P53s
no problem, have used it over time with T450s, T460s with Windows and Ubuntu 14.04, 16.04 and additional screen, runs everything
On the off chance I did buy this docking station and I can confirm that both display port connections have the DP++ logo. I am now successfully running two HDMI monitors with one HDMI and one passive DP-to-HDMI cable. There are hardly any decent pictures of the side with the connectors on the net, which makes this pointless guesswork necessary.
The docking station is suitable for the Thinkpad series. So it should work :)
Kompatibilität: P52s, L580, L480, T580, P580p, T480s, T480, X1 Carbon Gen 6, X280 Herstellerseite: https://www.lenovo.com/at/de/accessories-and-monitors/docking/mechanical-docks/Ultra-Dock-135-W-EU/p/40AJ0135EU
It only comes with an EU power plug, unfortunately....
Unfortunately, this docking station does not fit the notebook mentioned. This one would be the right one: Lenovo ThinkPad Ultra (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, LAN/RJ45) .
Unfortunately, I don't know. I would make an enquiry with Lenovo.
Unfortunately not, lenovo doesn't list it: http://www.shoplenovo.ch/de/products/94993-40a20090ch-lenovo-thinkpad-ultra-dock-90w-switzerland#product-info-tab-mainSpec_tab
