No. The signal reaches a maximum of 4 metres.
The best thing is to pair the belt with a fitness wristband.
I, for example, use the Polar Loop.

Polar itself writes:

Cardio Mapper
Runtastic
iSmooth Run
Up to the Samsung Galaxy S6 it was compatible, it even says so on the Polar website.
Unfortunately, I don't have an S7 to test it. However, I would be surprised if it didn't work...

Yes it is sensor with strap and the siize is OK even for small lady.
Yes the strap works with the Polar Loop 2 and the heart rate is displayed.
The version I bought 18 months ago was an M-XXL
