I already have two Sony HVL F60s and would like to buy a small flash for my A7CR. Can I control the other two flashes with this Sony HVL F28 and if so, can I do this directly via the flash menu in the Sony A7CR thanks to this attached Sony HVL F28?

This is indeed not possible, the old Sony HVL-F60M are controlled via infrared. I will now switch to the HVL-F28RMA and HVL-F46RMA and sell my HVL-F60M.

A flash range of 24/50mm is specified for this flash. Will I have a problem if I use it with my Sony Alpha 6700 and a lens with a focal length of 18-135mm? And does anyone know if the function "flash control based on face recognition" is compatible with my Alpha 6700?

I read earlier in another comment that you were proposing an alternative to Sony flash. Godox! I would like to be able to use the flash either on the camera's hot shoe or as a remote. What equipment would you recommend?

Yes. Remote is possible with the expensive original Sony trigger. Cheaper and more versatile alternatives are available from Godox.
