No is not possible. I simply bought a power bank and it serves as a backup for the built-in battery. It's cheaper than buying a new Megaboom and you can also use the power bank for something else. I bought a matching docking power UP station, but it's not essential

I only have megaboom, but here's the EU info about the party mode: "Regardless of the size of the party, connect as many BOOM, BOOM 2, BOOM 3, MEGABOOM, MEGABOOM 3 and HYPERBOOM speakers using the Ultimate Ears BOOM app (up to 150 connected speakers)"; in fact it is possible to pair them in the same party. Please make sure that the speakers are up to date and that the UE Boom app is up to date.
