Hello Patrick... The clock is really a great gift. Easy to use. Everything you need in terms of measurements and functions is there. The battery easily lasts 3 to 4 days. I'm buying my parents one for Christmas too. Best regards Thomas

I don't use the device any more, but I can remember certain things. Maybe that's a good starting point for you. Mi Band transmits data via Bluetooth. I used the unofficial app Notify for Mi Band at the time: https://play.google.com/store.... It was able to retrieve the data without having the official app installed, but you had to get a corresponding API key (of the device?). This means that it is known that the data can be accessed in other ways and that it might be possible to find the knowledge on the internet. A quick search on github led to this article via a project where someone interacted with an older device via Linux: https://medium.com/@a.nikisha.... Since the app mentioned above was able to read data from this generation of devices on its own and configure the device, I assume that you should be able to find something about it. I would say good luck and check github a bit more thoroughly.

Hello, There is no button to turn it on, you just have to plug it into the charger to turn it on, then you can connect it to your phone!

Yes, the Mi Band 6 can control music (pause, play, next, back, louder, quieter). However, it cannot be started, i.e. open Spotify, play it and then it can be controlled. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch (In the video, it opens the music app a little awkwardly; it is also possible to create a shortcut by swiping on the homescreen).

The Band 6 has a bigger display and I think it's better than the 5! I would definitely buy the Band 6! Attention all Mi - Band do not have a robust display therefore I recommend a protective film for children.
