The Raspberry Pi Pico is a small, fast, and versatile board equipped with the RP2040 microcontroller chip developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. The RP2040 features a 133 MHz dual-core Arm Cortex-M0+ processor with integrated 2 MB QSPI flash memory for code and data storage. A wide range of flexible I/O options includes I2C, SPI, and uniquely, Programmable I/O (PIO). These support endless possible applications.
To program your Pico, simply connect it via USB to your PC or laptop and upload a previously downloaded UF2 file. Programming can be done using MicroPython or C/C++.
From controlling devices to operating a light display - with the Raspberry Pi Pico, you have the technology at your fingertips that supports countless everyday processes. By programming in C and MicroPython, the Pico can be adapted to a variety of applications and capabilities, and getting started is as easy as dragging and dropping a file. Experienced users can take advantage of the extensive connections of the Raspberry Pi Pico, including SPI, I2C, and eight programmable I/O (PIO) to support their own peripherals.
