Record 2 DVB-C programmes simultaneously --- yes but

to record 2 programmes at the same time, you have to connect both inputs with the coax cable. In other words, I needed a (short) coaxial cable and a T-connector. This increases the cable clutter at the back considerably, sigh.
These two coax parts are not included in the scope of delivery, a bit strange, isn't it?

Once wired correctly, the whole thing works perfectly.

    Pro

    • 2 DVB-C recordings simultaneously
    • easy assembly
    • can also use DVB-T, not so relevant in CH

    Contra

    • needs additional cable
    • price

Fits in the DM 800 HD SE, but unfortunately the box cannot receive DVB-T2.

It's better to pay a little more for the D box and have the T2 option already integrated. Once again: DM 800... cannot implement T2!

    Pro

    • The idea of being able to receive DVB-T2 in addition is a good one.
    • Installation in DM800 would be problem-free

    Contra

    • Digitec gave wrong information, now corrected
    • Some newer D-Boxes can have a tuner built in!
    • Furthermore, many new D boxes already have a combo tuner for S2, T and C.
    • Fits only very few Dreamboxes

    Great Sat Box addon

I use this as an add-on for the DB920, to capture the French terrestrial TNT channels here on the border. These things are hobby devices, so do not expext manuals. Insertion is easy. To view/record two (or more) channels at once I had to plug in two antenna cables (most easily done with a T-connector). You can also find cute TNT picons (name the files "TF1.png", etc.) for the display. Along with a HDD all this converts your box into a handy TNT recorder (minus the Swiss channels, alas) on which you can set timers using e.g. your iPad (the e2Rmote Pro app), cut, edit recordings and much more. Again- this requires some setup, but well worth the money.

    Pro

    • Fast delivery
    • Easy install
    • Sensitive receiver
    • Competitive pricing

    Contra

    • Not for the uninitiated- you need to figure things out

    Has a fixable design flaw

At first I had very poor reception (10dB less than with single tuner). After a long time I found out that it was only due to the antenna sockets. The outer ring is too big and makes no or very poor contact with the antenna plugs. You can remedy the problem by carefully squeezing the ring with pliers so that it is slightly oval. Then the reception is top!

    Incompatible with Dreambox 7020HD

Caution: Contrary to the description, the tuner module is not compatible with Dreambox 7020HD, only one tuner input is partially usable (B). Numerous channels cannot be received with it. Antenna signal amplifier brings no improvement, also a pass through to the TV is not possible. The cabling no longer fits either. Various forums warn against this tuner, and there is no driver update (as of 24.4.2017) that can solve the problem.

    Pro

    • None

    Contra

    • Incompatible with Dreambox 7020HD
    • Very poor reception (20% of the free TV channels are not received, also no SRF)
    • Very expensive, you can get a better reception box for the money).
