I have been using the X-Pro1 with the XF 23 f1.4R for some time. I bought this lens to complement it. It also makes a very good impression and is very small compared to the 23. The handling is almost identical, and in practice there is no difference worth mentioning in the image. The focusing is practically on the same level as the 23 (which is considered the "best" at Fuji), once you get used to and understand the Fiji technique. For me, the perfect complementary lens at an adequate price.
Tested the lens with the X-T1 (latest update) and compared it with the 35mm f/1.4. It is definitely not an improved version of its predecessor across the board.
It does focus silently and slightly faster than the 35mm f/1.4, but shockingly imprecise. Took a lot of photos with wrong focus that were perfect with the old version.
Peripheral sharpness is much better in the f/2.0, but centrally the old f/1.4 is much sharper.
For me, the extra aperture is very useful in the evening.
That's why I opted for the older f/1.4.

I have the lens on my Fujifilm X-T5 and X-T30 ll. With the additional setting in the Fujifilm camera, it becomes a great always-on lens.
The lens fulfils all my expectations.
I will definitely get other focal lengths from this lens line.
