Lenovo Active Pen 2
Lenovo Active Pen 2
Top - pressure sensitivity is worlds better than the original pen or Pen1. Working with it is really fun.
However, with age, the connection interruptions increase - a "re-turn" of the pen / battery compartment usually helps - unfortunately only for a short time, which is quite annoying.
A higher quality would be expected for a pen in this price range.
Too bad... As a student, I want to be able to write down my notes and sketches quickly and easily... Unfortunately, this is not always possible with the Active Pen 2.
I think it's a shame and sad that the Active Pen 2 is being sold at such a high price. Because for what it is, it wouldn't even be worth half.
In this review I compare the Active Pen with the Surface Pen and the gen2 Apple Pen. I am aware that both competitors cost a little more than the Actice Pen 2, but only at first glance. Here are the reasons:
1. the Active Pen 2 runs on AAAA (4xA) batteries. These are tiny and last about a month for a design student's daily use (the Surface Pen lasts half a year). AAAA batteries are hard to find. Unless you live in a big city, it will be difficult to get hold of these batteries. Of course, you can order some from Digitec, but sooner or later, with these running costs, you will quickly realise that the Active Pen actually costs more than an Apple Pen or Surface Pen.
As I said, that's a shame, because the Active Pen is worse than its competitors in every area.
While the gen2 Apple Pen and the Surface Pen are magnetic and can be easily attached to the device, the Active Pen 2 has a cheap plastic holder that has to be plugged into a USB port.... This is a bit awkward for two reasons. Firstly, you have to put the pen on the table when the USB port is occupied for a mouse, for example, where it then rolls away somewhere and, if you are unlucky, falls on the floor.... Secondly, because the pen is thicker than the keyboard, the holder has to be unplugged and plugged in again when switching to tablet mode.
Thirdly, I have always had problems with the connection and have used 3 pens in 2 years. They break very quickly when dropped on the floor.
That's why I switched to a Surface.

After 1-2 months of use, the pen falls apart.

The first weeks were perfect, then it went down the drain...
The pen disconnects every 5 seconds and it is absolutely impossible to write. Even with fresh batteries the problem still exists.
Not recommended at all :/

According to many other reviews all over the net, the likelihood is very high that you will get a "Monday model" and never get it to work at all. Capturing the warranty means that you have to have a lot of patience and nerves. Returning a product because you "don't like it" is at your own expense, and then even more so for a fee of at least 10% of the purchase price. A cheek!

I use the stylus with the Lenovo Yoga C940. Nothing works. Please do not buy this combo, thank you! You can't write a sentence because the pen disconnects about 3 times per sentence.
