LevelOne KVM-0260 DVI KVM Switch with Audio/USB Cable
I have two laptops with 1680 x 1050 connected. It works almost perfectly. When a PC is started, it should also be activated on the KVM, otherwise the resolution and the output to the external monitor may have to be changed again manually (this is only the case with my older laptop).
For the price, however, absolutely top!
@cuculus6: Switching is very easy with 2x Scroll-Lock, then Enter. It also says so in the enclosed instructions.
I use the KVM-0260 together with a desktop and a laptop dock-in station with a resolution of 1920 × 1080. It's simply brilliant (Windows and Linux!).
Price-performance really 1A!!!
- The only minus point is perhaps the cable length (only 1m and 60cm!) for the two PC systems.
I am satisfied and have never had any problems with the switch, which has been in operation since may 2009.
Does not work at all! Resolution according to Digitec and other websites 2k, but effectively only 1080p is supported. But not even that works reliably.
When the 2nd PC is shut down, you can't switch afterwards with scrolllock, but can crawl under the table (because the cable is so short) and press the button.

Contra
The part shown in the picture does not correspond to the KVM-0260:

The component looks cheap. This then shows in the quality of the picture signal.
Green dots everywhere and the monitor is always off/on.
I have now connected the notebook directly to the second screen connection of the monitor.
Only use the switch to share the keyboard (G510) and mouse (G9) with the desktop PC.
Contra
Use the switch regularly to switch between Linux and Win7. works very well!!!
Auto-Detect monitors (if not active during the boot process) always detects the correct monitor or resolution under Win7.
