Microsoft Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

As a fan of the first Elite controller, it pains me to say that I cannot recommend this controller to anyone.
After replacing it twice, I have yet to have a controller where all the buttons work reliably. The buttons feel scratchy when pressed and sometimes even get stuck at the bottom. Even if the button is pressed normally, the console does not always register this. Furthermore, pressing the sticks in the diagonal corners is more difficult.
If you search for the problem on the Internet, you will quickly notice that you are not alone. According to Windows Central, Microsoft is aware of the problems and is looking into them at the moment. In the meantime, I can't recommend the Elite Series 2 controller to anyone who is relying on their controller inputs to arrive in-game, which should be anyone paying over 150.- for a controller.

UPDATE October 2020:
I gave Microsoft another chance and ordered a third Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 once again. Right out of the box, the controller worked flawlessly, which gave me hope that the problems had been fixed. After one day of intensive Jump'n'Run "Hollow Knight" gaming (by the way, a very recommendable game), disillusionment set in. Exactly the same problems as February already described. Sometimes the A button just doesn't want to trigger, although the typical "click" sound can be heard when pressing it.
Sorry for a ~170.- expensive controller, this is unacceptable. Well, then I'll get me in November for the money 2 Xbox Series X controllers and let me deliver a frustration pizza :-P
By the way, the last controller had the Lot No.: 2032 if someone wants to compare the
February 2020:
The A button is sometimes not registered, although you have pressed the button. If you google for it, you will quickly find out that this is a known problem. See also: https://www.youtube.com/watch
I have already returned the controller once, but the second one has the same problem. Although the specs are great and it feels high quality: As long as these problems are not fixed, this controller is completely useless.
My controllers had the following lot no:
- 1944
- 1947
Reading the reviews of this controller, one wonders why it is still sold at all. Apparently, it has major hardware problems as standard and Microsoft knows about it. Digitec must have received a lot of returns or dealt with DOA warranty claims. And yet they continue to sell it? Either you want to get rid of the junk, think we are stupid or you hope that the customer is lucky and gets a working controller by chance. I expect Digitec to take more responsibility.
For the price, you can expect a flawless controller. In my species, the A button has complained or denied inputs and the connection via Bluetooth has only worked for the first 4-5 inputs.
Otherwise, really a perfect controller and all the more annoying that nothing is done about it. If it would work, it would be highly recommended - really a dream device.

I have now tried two pieces and now have two times the same error.
The A button is simply the last. It jams more often than not and is not spring loaded properly. The X, Y & B are perfect as I actually expected them all to be.
It's a shame I've been really looking forward to this controller since E3.
I can only advise against buying it. The A key is not usable, as half of the strokes are not recognized. The problem can also be reproduced very easily.
Wait until Microsoft has fixed the problem.
