Failure already after 3 months
One of eight was already defective after three months, despite very good cooling (29°C) and sporadic use for backups.

Small, slow and low energy
Ideal disk if you need as much storage space as possible with low power consumption, e.g. for storing backups on a permanently running NAS, but do not want to pay several hundred CHF for an SSD. This is at the expense of lower read and write performance compared to a 3.5" HDD or an SSD, but you can't have everything.
I was aware of that. The hard drive serves its purpose perfectly as a backup drive for everything that is connected via WLAN, hardly eats any power (especially in standby) and has a lot of space at a fairly reasonable price.Pro

Finally storage space also in the laptop
Most 2.5" HDDs only go up to 2GB, which is a bit tight these days. Since I no longer have a desktop, everything has to fit on the laptop.
The build height was tight for my Acer Predator, but fit everything in. Finally a full desktop replacementPro
