Excellent image quality up to the longest focal length and fast, precise AF. The fact that it "searches" a bit in very poor light and at long focal lengths is design-related and unavoidable. If you're looking for a 2.8 70-350, you won't find such a lens, and if you did, it would be three times as long, the front lens 125mm in diameter, and the weight around 10 kg. At this size and weight I know no better lens in this range, at best the Nikkor AF-P (FX) can hold a candle to it. (I own in the case also). The Sony 100-400mm GM FE is still a notch better (6 stars..), but then we are talking about the professional league and over 2 kilofranken.

I use the lens for my Sony A7III and am very satisfied. The loss of quality due to the full-frame sensor of the A7III is hardly noticeable for a beginner like me. Good experience with street and wildlife photos.

I was able to take part in an expedition to Antarctica and was looking for an exceptional telephoto zoom. I have found it with this one and I am convinced that I will succeed in capturing the animal shots.

I bought it as a replacement for the Sony 55 - 210 OSS and use it on my Sony Alpha 6400 and I'm delighted with it. Unfortunately, due to the weather, I haven't been able to take many pictures yet, but the Christmas holidays are just around the corner.
