Raynox HD-6600PRO - With wide-angle lenses and converters, some degree of barrel distortion is more or less unavoidable. However, this particular wide-angle converter is designed to be nearly distortion-free (only -1.3% residual distortion) based on sophisticated calculations and construction, achieving a high resolution of 350 line pairs per millimeter (at the center of the image with an MTF contrast of 30%). This converter, specifically developed for high-resolution digital cameras, contains three standalone, fully multi-coated lenses made from high refractive index glass. It is an ideal accessory for professional use, as well as for demanding amateurs who need to shoot in tight spaces. With this converter in front of the camera lens, there is no light loss that alters the set aperture value (the brightness remains unchanged). The original Raynox adapters are designed and built to fit the HD-6600PRO mechanically and optically, providing the best possible image quality. When using adapters from other manufacturers in conjunction with the Raynox HD-6600PRO, there is a fundamental risk that image quality may slightly deteriorate, especially in the corners of the image (vignetting and blurriness, as different adapter ring thicknesses can result in a different position of the converter relative to the entrance pupil of the lens).
