The Rode SC6 is a special adapter for the simultaneous connection of two Rode smartLav microphones (lapel microphones) and one headphone to a smartphone or tablet. It features two TRSS inputs, ideal for recording interviews and dialogues, as well as an integrated TRRS plug for connecting to a headset jack on the smartphone or tablet. An additional headphone output (mini-jack) allows for monitoring during soundcheck and recording.

What many smartLav users have wished for is now possible: for real-time monitoring purposes, an additional headphone can be connected to the SC6. To the left of the two TRRS inputs is the corresponding mini-jack socket. This allows you to monitor audio signals during the soundcheck and ensure optimal microphone positioning. This is particularly important when using two smartLav microphones to balance any volume differences between the two speakers by adjusting the microphone distance appropriately. Their signals are mixed and recorded on a single track. Additionally, you can ensure before recording that nothing is distorted and that the sound sources are properly leveled.
