The SM5 is an elastic suspension with a ring clamp adapter for RØDE microphones, designed for use with professional video cameras. It supports camera clamp mounts for cylinders with a diameter of 24 or 27 mm. Many cameras include rubber layers in the ring clamp, making them compatible with different cylinder sizes. The design of the elastic suspension ensures perfect isolation of the microphone from the mount. The signal is not affected by rumbling and other low-frequency noise disturbances. The 1/4” and 3/8” threads in the base of the mount allow for the attachment of a telescopic arm or other accessories.
