The Roland A49 stands out among comparable MIDI controller keyboards with its high-quality, quiet full-size keyboard and excellent playability. In addition to the 49 full-size velocity-sensitive keys, there are 2 knobs and buttons for pitch, volume, transpose, and a visual control button. The well-known lever for real-time parameter control is already familiar from many models. Additionally, the A49 features the D-Beam controller. Located at the top left of the keyboard is a sensor that can also control parameters in real-time by moving your hand towards or away from it. The sensor optically detects the distance to your hand and converts this into a parameter value, allowing sounds to be altered simply through hand movements. To connect to a computer and use in DAW software, the MIDI OUT output of the keyboard can be utilized. Power supply is straightforward via the USB connection.
