The Roland A49 stands out among comparable MIDI controller keyboards with its high-quality, quiet full-size keyboard and excellent playability. The lightweight and compact design of the keyboard is straightforward and effective in its operation. In addition to the 49 full-size velocity-sensitive keys, there are 2 knobs and buttons for pitch, volume, transpose, and a visual control button. The well-known lever for real-time parameter control is already familiar from many models. Additionally, the A49 features the D-Beam controller. Located at the top left of the keyboard is a sensor that can also control parameters in real-time by moving your hand towards or away from it. The sensor optically detects the distance to your hand and converts this into a parameter value, allowing sounds to be altered simply through hand movements. To connect to a computer and use in DAW software, the MIDI OUT output of the keyboard can be utilized. Power supply is straightforward via the USB connection. The two rear 6.3 mm jack sockets allow for the connection of optional hold and expression pedals. Note: To power the keyboard, please install the corresponding drivers.
