With the compact 14mm wide-angle lens from Samyang, you can take unique pictures. The wide-angle lens captures more than the standard lens at the same distance. The 14/2.8 wide-angle lens is suitable for the entire spectrum of wide-angle photography, but especially for landscape and indoor photography. The distinct impression of depth in wide-angle photography offers room for creative photography.

Enormous width and depth of field
The lens has a short focal length and thus takes advantage of the APS-C image sensor. With a close-up limit of just 28 cm, the manually focusable wide-angle lens is particularly suitable for sharp and high-contrast images at short distances. Thanks to the excellent light intensity of 1:2.8, optimum pictures can be taken even in unfavorable lighting conditions.

High quality optics
The outstanding imaging performance is due to the sophisticated optical system. This consists of two aspherical ED (Extra Low Dispersion) lenses, which reduce chromatic aberration. This results in images with a well-balanced color. The fixed lens hood also prevents the disturbing lateral incidence of light and lens reflections that would lead to loss of contrast.

Lens with AE chip
The lens has a built-in AE chip and no longer has a separate aperture preselection ring. This makes it possible to select the aperture from the camera, either with the dial or automatically in P mode. All EXIF data is transferred to the camera and saved with the image.

Advantages of a full format lens on a camera with APS-C sensor
Save time in post-processing. A variety of lens flaws such as distortion, edge blur, and vignetting occur on the outer areas of the image. If you use a lens calculated for full format on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas are not used. Thus, one obtains the maximum quality. Additional post-processing time for the correction of lens errors is therefore not necessary.
