Product details

The Samyang 50mm f1.2 lens is a standard prime lens specifically designed for the needs of photographers using CSC cameras. The characteristics of this lens, which offers a naturally appealing perspective, are compactness, versatility, and speed. Its high resolution quality excels in various applications, such as street, landscape, and portrait photography. The lens features a minimum focus distance of 50 centimeters and consists of nine glass elements arranged in seven groups, including two multi-coated aspherical lenses that reduce chromatic aberrations.

On APS-C cameras, the full-frame equivalent focal length is approximately 75 millimeters, and on Micro Four Thirds cameras, it is 100 millimeters. The high brightness of f/1.2 benefits photographers who want to shoot in low light conditions without a flash. Furthermore, this 50mm lens beautifully isolates the subject, creating a lovely contrast between the sharply focused main subject and the softly rendered background. The nine circular aperture blades produce a stunning, buttery smooth bokeh.

The housing of the Samyang 50 F1.2 giant lens contains 9 lenses in 7 groups. The high-quality multi-coating ensures balanced colors and allows more light to reach the sensor. An aspherically ground lens minimizes imaging errors and provides an undistorted representation of natural colors and contrasts. This prime lens is designed as an internally focusing lens, meaning its length does not change when focusing. Like all Samyang lenses, the housing is made of high-quality all-metal construction. A textured metal focus and aperture ring, along with a robust front bayonet with a filter thread, ensure an exhilarating photography experience.
