Product details

The Samyang 85 f1.4 makes the hearts of portrait photographers race. This compact prime lens delivers brilliant, high-contrast images with a buttery smooth bokeh. Focusing and aperture adjustment are done manually, as is typical for Samyang, allowing for direct composition of the photo and precise placement of the focus where it should be.

The effect of a photo taken with an 85mm prime lens is comparable to viewing an object up close. The light intensity of 1:1.4 also enables the photographer to create an ideal separation, highlighting the model, for example. The background blurs into a visually pleasing softness, thanks to 8 aperture blades that create a nearly round opening. The image reproduction appears natural, making the Samyang 85 f1.4 particularly suited for portrait photography.

Additionally, excellent photos are possible even in low light conditions. The internally focusing lens consists of 9 elements arranged in 7 groups. All elements are multi-coated, ensuring flawless results even at wide open aperture. To maintain image quality, aspherical glass elements are used. The premium look and feel are further enhanced by the robust metal housing.
