The Samyang 8 mm F3.5 AS MC Fisheye CSII DH lens differs from its predecessor only by the removable lens shade.
The 8mm fixed focal length was developed especially for APS-C and MFT cameras. Without lens hood, however, this lens can also be used for full format cameras. The lens is a guarantee for ingenious panoramas and is suitable for the creation of virtual 3D tours.
The lens construction consists of 10 elements in 7 groups. An aspherical hybrid lens in combination with the latest technology of antireflective multi-coating (MC) ensures that lens flare is minimized and ghost effects are eliminated.
A special feature of ultra-wide-angle lenses of this type is not only the short close-up limit. Fischeye lenses are characterized by their enormous depth of field. As a result, everything is already pin sharp behind the actual focal point.
Further examples of the use of an extremely short focal length are for example action photography. With skateboard photos, the fisheye effect is indispensable. Action shots taken from close up allow the viewer to immerse himself in the situation.
