Product details

The Function

The lens hood, also known as a glare hood or sunshade, reduces side light hitting the sensor. This minimizes lens flares, which enhances image quality. Images appear less flat and low in contrast when using the sunshade. Additionally, the sunshade provides some protection for the front lens against rain and light impacts or touches, such as fingerprints. For space-saving transport, we recommend mounting the sunshade "backwards" onto the lens.
