The Harmony XPS Basic safety relays implement fundamental safety functions. This device allows for the understanding of classic safety applications with a shutdown delay and the setting of the start function. The front-mounted rotary switches enable the adjustment of the shutdown delay time and one of the two safety functions. Mechanical normally open contacts from emergency stop/reset buttons, position switches, magnetic switches, pull cord switches, as well as light curtains or RFID safety switches with OSSD outputs can be connected to the inputs. One safety function can be operated in a two-channel (redundant) configuration via the two inputs. For the start function, automatic, manual, or monitored start options are available at separate inputs. This safety switching device features two safe non-delayed relay normally open contacts as outputs, optionally a delayed safe normally open contact, and a semiconductor signaling output. The shutdown delay time function (e.g., Stop Category 1 or 2, SS1 or SS2) can be adjusted in increments from 0.1 seconds to 15 minutes. The supply voltage is 24 VAC and 24 VDC, with connections made via detachable spring terminals. Applications can be realized up to safety level PL e in Category 4 or SIL3. Mounting is done by snapping onto a DIN rail or by screw fastening onto mounting plates. To protect the settings under the transparent cover, a clearly numbered locking band is included.
