Preventa XPS universal safety relay. This multifunctional safety relay is designed for a wide range of safety applications, featuring a selectable safety function and start option via a rotary switch on the front, along with diagnostic communication to the PLC. It is suitable for mechanical contacts in emergency stop, position or magnetic switches, safety mats, and electronic PNP/NPN sensors, light curtains, or RFID safety switches with OSSD outputs. The selectable start function includes automatic, manual, or monitored start, as well as a start-up test. It has one safety circuit (redundant) and allows for the selection of one of ten safety functions. The outputs include a safe relay with 3S undelayed, 3S optionally delayed, and 1Ö, with a status of 1T and diagnostics of 1T. The safe switch-off delay ranges from 0.1 seconds to 15 minutes for SS1 or Stop1 function. The clocked output transmits extensive diagnostic data to the PLC at standard input and evaluation via FB. The safety level is PL e, Cat. 4, SIL3, with a supply voltage of 24 VAC/DC. It features removable spring-loaded terminals and a lateral plug connector for direct connection of contact extension without wiring.
