Sigma 35mm F1.2 DG DN, Sony E
Sony E, full sizeconnector
Product details
The Art product line in the era of mirrorless cameras aims for maximum performance with a focal length of 35 mm and achieves a maximum aperture of F1.2. Three SLD glass elements and three aspherical lenses, including a double-sided aspherical lens, are optimally arranged in a lens construction of 17 elements in 12 groups. In addition to its optical design, which takes advantage of the short back focus characteristic, it effectively utilizes the camera's internal correction function to correct distortion and vignetting. Various imaging errors that are difficult to correct in post-processing, such as sagittal coma, are completely corrected through the assembly of optical design technologies developed by SIGMA, achieving an overwhelming resolution of over 50 million pixels.
It offers excellent operability in a variety of shooting situations, for both photos and videos. With an F1.2 lens of large diameter, comfortable autofocus photography is achieved through the large Hyper-Sonic Motor (HSM), which provides the necessary torque to control the focus lens group. In manual photography, the focus ring driven by the Focus-by-Wire system responds to the photographer's fine adjustments with optimized torque settings. Additionally, the aperture ring is equipped with an anti-click function, which disables the click stops and allows for smooth operation, particularly useful for video recording. A comprehensive range of features ensures user confidence even in challenging conditions. The AFL button, which can be assigned various functions, expands the lens's operational capabilities. Furthermore, the lens has a dust- and splash-resistant construction, as well as a water- and oil-repellent coating on the front lens, which further supports photography in different environments.
