Product details

50 mm F1.4 DG HSM [A]. Features very high light intensity. Optimal sharpness due to short shutter speeds. Utilizes Super Low Dispersion glass elements. Fast focusing thanks to the Hyper Sonic Motor. Suitable for Canon cameras.

The Sigma 50 mm F1.4 DG HSM standard lens is an excellent addition to the new DSLR cameras, which are particularly popular due to their high-resolution image sensors. This lens impresses with its very high light intensity, allowing for optimal resolution even in poor lighting conditions. Additionally, this keeps the shutter speed within limits, significantly reducing the risk of blurry shots.

Therefore, it is not only suitable for classic portraits, landscape photography, or still lifes, but especially for scenes with special lighting conditions such as starry skies or underwater shots. High edge illumination ensures a well-rounded image.

Special effects can be achieved through the manipulation of sharpness. Experienced photographers can use this lens to artistically and effectively separate their subject from the background by playing with the large aperture. The out-of-focus areas are rendered particularly smoothly thanks to a total of nine aperture blades.

Thanks to the incorporation of SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements, chromatic aberrations are effectively eliminated in advance. This is essential to guarantee high image quality across the entire focus range. At the same time, this technology provides excellent contrast and sharpness. The product is also excellent for snapshots, made possible by the Hyper Sonic Motor, which quietly and quickly focuses on the subject in AF mode.
