The SmallRig Multifunctional Modular Matte Box (Φ95 mm) VND Kit 3645 is part of the Star-Trail series and is designed for mirrorless cameras to prevent sunlight or other light sources from causing glare and stray light, and to control the images on the screen. At a specific depth of field, it helps to balance exposure by adjusting the external light flow.

The kit comes standard with four threaded adapter rings (Φ67-95 mm / Φ72-95 mm / Φ77-95 mm / Φ82-95 mm) for round filters such as VND, GND, CPL, common DSLR lenses, and Φ95 mm cine lenses. The included VND filter set 3651 allows for quick exposure adjustments in changing lighting conditions while maintaining depth of field.

Thanks to the form-fitting filter system, ultra-wide-angle shots with a focal length of 16 mm are possible. The lens hood attaches magnetically and can be quickly removed, while the upper flag made of carbon fiber can be opened 180°. The Star-Trail series of matte boxes uses much lighter magnesium alloy and carbon fiber to provide lightweight filming solutions.
