Product details

For connecting two devices with optical input/output in ODT (Toslink) standard for digital audio transmission. Digital optical connections have the advantage of being immune to electromagnetic interference. This allows for a smaller cable diameter even with longer cables. The optical audio cable also decouples the audio sender/receiver from the audio receiver/amplifier, preventing the creation of ground loops. A digital audio cable can transmit not only two audio channels but all the audio channels necessary for a home theater. The audio channels are then split in the amplifier and sent to all connected speakers. However, when using optical cables, it is important to avoid bending the cable, as this could cause the optical fiber to break.
