When using the gray card, you manually set the white balance on your camera. Then, select your first product to photograph. Take a picture where the gray card(s) are fully visible, and adjust the white balance so that the gray card has the most accurate color. In the following photos, you can then remove the gray card. As long as you do not change the lighting setup, you won't need to use the gray card again. Next, you can edit all images in an image editing program like Photoshop and ensure that the gray card in the image truly appears gray, which means all other colors are also accurate.
