As the successor to the Keeley Custom 10, the Keeley Custom 12 is the bigger brother featuring a 12-inch cream speaker. The idea is very simple: a traditional and fully analog tube amplifier as the perfect pedal platform. To crystallize this concept, Supro teamed up with pedal icon Robert Keeley. The result is a beautifully balanced amplifier with a warm and clear sound. The tone control, which is very active, works excellently with effect pedals. Additionally, you will find a preamp volume and a master volume, allowing you to adjust the amplifier. The final amplifier is based on a duet of 6V6 tubes in a Class A design, delivering around 25 watts of power. The amplifier has more than enough headroom and is not ear-splittingly loud. It is loud enough to be heard in a band context, but can also be quiet enough for home playing. In terms of the pedal platform concept, a well-buffered effects loop has been integrated, where most effects are simply placed before the preamp. Use the effects loop for effects that benefit from being in sequence, such as delays, reverbs, and sometimes modulation effects or boosters.
