The powerful 750 Watt laboratory power supply, with just 1U height, can be stacked directly on top of each other, eliminating the need for any air gaps above or below, and it indeed fits within 1U. Output voltages from 0 to 150 V/DC and output currents from 0 to 5 A can be set directly on the device or remotely via the built-in RS232/RS485 interface. All important functions can also be programmed through analog inputs (control voltage 0-5V, 0-10V, control current 4-20 mA, or via external resistance for digital control, e.g., corresponding drivers are available for LabView and LabWindows). High-resolution 16-bit A/D and D/A converters enable very precise adjustment and programming. The rotary knobs on the device can be switched between coarse and fine adjustment. A dual digital display shows the current values as well as various status information (including overcurrent protection, undervoltage limit, overload mode, address settings), and a monitor output provides corresponding analog voltages (0-5V or 0-10V) for external monitoring. Of course, the device can operate as both a constant voltage and a constant current source, automatically switching between these modes as needed. Multiple devices can be connected in series or parallel. The GEN/H type has half the form factor of 19" racks.
