As a connection or termination unit for a fiber optic network, this device is authorized. The patch box serves as a handover and testing point for the fiber optic network in communication infrastructures. It contains Cca fibers and is therefore recommended for installation in individual buildings (airports, hospitals, shopping centers, schools, universities) that require a high level of safety due to the large number of people. The Euroclass Cca ensures an adequate level of safety concerning fire behavior and the emission of toxic fumes, thereby reducing the risks of a fire.

It includes fiber optic cables, one end of which is pre-terminated with 4 SC/APC connectors at the patch box. This provides the installer with greater comfort and flexibility during installation, as the fiber can be routed through various cable channels to the desired point. The installer only needs to splice or connect 4 fiber optic connectors at the connection point. Additionally, the fibers are supplied in a patch box with a spool, which significantly facilitates cable laying and reduces installation time as well as the risk of damaging the fibers.

The design also allows for installation in other types of premises (auto repair shops, classrooms, workstations, control cabinets, etc.) as well as for use as a connection point.
