During a walk, Lars finds a weathered diary. Notes in a different handwriting lie between the bound pages. The sheets are mostly glued together and poorly legible. He takes the book home, restores it, and begins to read it together with his partner Celia. As they read, doubts arise about whether it is actually a diary, as the entries are filled with puzzling inconsistencies.
