Product details
In search of the legendary Enlightened One, the esoteric writer couple Hubertus and Mathilda von Rutkewitz traveled to India. At the foot of the Himalayas, they discover two hermits in a cave - the youthful master Jojo and his elderly, eccentric student Hanif Pagalparam. They propose a cave exchange as an experiment: Hubertus and Mathilda will stay in the cave for a year, attempting to lead a simple life away from civilization. In return, Master Jojo and Hanif will prove themselves in Hamburg's alternative scene in the Schanzenviertel. They find accommodation in the dilapidated city villa of Hubertus and Mathilda and get to know the everyday life and its complications in a quirky shared living arrangement. Meanwhile, Hubertus and Mathilda soon find that they can only endure the longed-for simplicity through frequent visits to the village.
