With the Voltage/Current Bricklet 2.0, Bricks can be enhanced with the ability to measure power, voltage, and current. The Bricklet is simply installed between the power supply (e.g., battery) and the load (e.g., motor). In battery-operated systems, bidirectional current measurement can provide insights into the battery's charge status. The Bricklet does not have galvanic isolation from the Tinkerforge system, meaning there is a direct electrical connection between the terminals of the Bricklet and the rest of the system. If this could lead to unwanted connections, ground loops, or short circuits in the specific application, it is advisable to use it together with an Isolator Bricklet. The Voltage/Current Bricklet 2.0 has a 7-pin Bricklet connector and is connected to a Brick using a 7p-10p Bricklet cable.
