Product details
The most beautiful time of the year for me is the Advent and Christmas season. The roots of this lie in my childhood, as with most things that influence our lives. Due to frequent power outages in the post-war years, candles were always at the ready during the winter months. Everyone tried to use the ceiling lights as sparingly as possible. So, what could be more natural than lighting a candle when darkness fell? This time between the onset of darkness and the evening was called twilight hour. The bond within families was strong. Also, due to the housing shortage during those years, people came closer together. Sometimes, three generations lived in a two-room apartment. The twilight hour provided time for storytelling, usually taken over by the grandmother. There was also crafting with natural materials or preparing the Christmas poem for Christmas Eve.
