Product details

The journalist and historian Wilhelm Lauser (1836-1902) was one of the few German eyewitnesses to the Paris Commune uprising. He meticulously documented the developments in his diary until the suppression of the Commune by the conservative French government starting on May 21, 1871, which ultimately culminated in a massacre of the Communards. This is a reprint of the original edition published in 1878.
