The present work of the Historical Association of Upper Valais is the first of two anthologies that contain various Valais folk tales. In addition to regional and local legends, such as the church construction of Redingen or the forest brother, fairy tales and legends as well as tales in the vernacular have also been compiled. This book is a high-quality reprint of the long-out-of-print original edition from 1907.
