The construction of the 21 mm / 1:1.4 Nokton Aspherical E-Mount has been completely redesigned by Voigtländer, sparing no technical finesse. Voigtländer's ambition is to set new standards in the class of super wide-angle lenses.

The elaborate optical design consists of a total of 13 elements in eleven groups. In addition to the use of two lens elements with aspherical surfaces, a "floating element" is also employed, ensuring excellent image quality across the entire focusing range from the minimum distance to infinity. The aspherical lenses provide distortion-free imaging and help to avoid chromatic aberrations. Furthermore, this optical design has achieved a compact form factor despite the high light intensity.

With a minimum focusing distance of just 25 cm and an aperture of F1.4, it offers a shallow depth of field, creating a beautiful, softly transitioning bokeh. The aperture can be adjusted in 1/3-stop increments but can also be switched to a completely stepless and thus silent setting. The lens features electrical contacts, allowing all relevant image information to be stored in the EXIF data. The focus peaking function aids in achieving precise and accurate focus even in challenging situations.

This new specialist from the Voigtländer E-Mount range is, as usual, extremely robust, made entirely of metal and glass, and impresses not only with its excellent build quality but also with a relatively low weight of just 560 g. Thus, the new Voigtländer 21 mm / 1:1.4 Nokton Aspherical E-Mount remains a consistently pleasant companion on all photography tours.
