Even in the age of drones and gimbals, one of the best-known and oldest tools for filming is still irreplaceable: the camera crane.

Whether horizontal or vertical camera pans with a large radius of action or film shots at events over the heads and above the crowd - with a crane you can easily realise such shots with your usual camera, which in the case of this carbon camera jib can even weigh up to 5 kg. Normal, well-known drones and gimbals have long been ruled out for such payloads.

The Carbon Camera Jib Traveller 7.2 is not only suitable for the above-mentioned applications - it is also particularly portable: thanks to its carbon construction, it weighs just 2.5 kg when fully assembled, including the 75 mm half-shell adapter. When folded, it is just 70 cm long and can be conveniently taken anywhere with the padded carry bag. When fully extended, it has a length of 2 metres. Commercially available weight plates can be used as counterweights and mounted on the counter bar. Thanks to the fine and infinitely variable adjustment of the counter rod, the crane can be balanced very precisely, allowing you to realise very smooth pans and tracking shots.

All segments on the main boom and counter rod can be released or locked quickly and easily using ring locks.

The base has numerous 1/4" threads to which you can attach additional accessories. Two extra 1/4" threads are positioned one above the other so that the articulated arm anti-rotation protection can be fitted. This prevents accidental loosening or sagging of the articulated arm, to which a monitor is usually attached during crane use. This makes it easy to follow the live image and maintain focus even when the boom or camera height is over 2 metres.
