Standard distributor with bus termination (active), terminator, IP 66. The fieldbus distributors FBCon DP are used to connect 1 to 8 actuators, sensors, or remote I/Os to a PROFIBUS network. The branches (T-pieces) connect the individual bus components to the bus line. The length of each branch line depends on the transmission speed and should be as short as possible. The total length of all branch lines must not exceed 6.6 m at transmission rates up to 1.5 MBaud. The main line is routed through EMC cable glands into an aluminum/stainless steel housing and connected using spring clamp terminals. The branch line to the device is connected via a B-coded M12 socket or an EMC cable gland. Termination resistors must be activated at the beginning and end of the PROFIBUS-DP network. The termination modules fulfill this function. The 24 VDC power supply is introduced through the right cable gland. To counteract climatic cycling, the housings are equipped with a pressure equalization element. In general, the guidelines of the PROFIBUS user organization must be observed during installation.
