Product details
Have you ever wondered how good the air quality in your living room is? Or do you need proof of why you fall asleep after three hours in an unventilated conference room? Look no further! This combo board with an air quality sensor gives you the answers in no time. This Air Quality Combo Board detects atmospheric quality using the popular CCS811 and BME280 ICs. It provides a variety of environmental data, including barometric pressure, humidity, temperature, TVOCs, and equivalent CO2 (or ECO2). Communication is done via the I2C protocol. The CCS811 is an extremely popular sensor that provides measurements for equivalent CO2 (or ECO2) in parts per million (PPM) and total volatile organic compounds in parts per billion (PPB). The CCS811 also has a feature that allows you to fine-tune its measurements when it has access to the current humidity and temperature. Therefore, we have added the BME280, which provides humidity, temperature, and air pressure. This allows the sensors to work together to deliver more accurate measurements than they could provide individually. Since the CCS811 heats up a bit, the circuit board is precisely designed to avoid affecting the measurements of the BME280 sensor.
