Product details

Hays another dead, shot by the same Wild Bill. In its August 25, 1869 issue, the Kansas City Journal of Commerce wrote of this event: "Last night Bill Hickok, better known as "Wild Bill," (...) while attempting to put in the stirrup, the saddle slipped aside and Wild Bill's killer landed ungently on the ground. Shouts rang out and continued around town, "Wild Bill has been shot! Wild Bill is dead!" Deadwood residents eventually flocked to hear them," she said. My mother was never to recover properly from the whole story, and over her grief she died two years later (Sept. 29, 1878, the author) after Bill's terrible death." Rosa, THE CALLED HIM WILD BILL, p. 307.
