With the ZXP Series 9, Zebra offers the second generation of retransfer printers for producing photo-quality cards. The landscape printing mode in this innovative sublimation process allows for the creation of professional ID cards, money, customer, or gift cards, either single-sided or double-sided, at impressive speeds of up to 190 cards per hour (single-sided). The retransfer technology not only produces cards with no borders but also, especially in color printing, in vibrant colors and with a sharp resolution (12 dots/mm, 304 dpi). The advantage of this technology is reduced wear on the print head, which is why Zebra provides a lifetime warranty on this consumable part. The automatically transferred carrier film protects the print image from abrasion or tampering. Various card surfaces, such as smart cards or non-PVC cards, are professionally printed due to this process and the intelligent media technology. Cards can be fed in either via CardSense single feed or card hopper, with a capacity of up to 150 cards that are automatically drawn in. With 64 MB of memory and a fast USB and Ethernet interface, smooth processing is ensured. Optional integrated magnetic stripe, chip card, or MIFARE card encoders further enhance functionality.
