Durch die sehr gute Fertigungsqualität ist auch das Einstellen des Zooms sehr einfach und exakt möglich. Dabei ist das Zeiss nicht nur in der Lage sehr gute Aufnahmen zu generieren, sondern dabei auch mit einem tollen Kontrast ausgestattet. Nur das Fehlen eines AF sowie der Vignettierung bei der Anfangsöffnung sind hier zu beanstanden.

Das Carl Zeiss Objektiv verfügt über eine außergewöhnlich hohe Lichtstärke, die auch im Nahbereich um eine Stufe abgeblendet eine hervorragende Leistung zustande bringt. Weiterhin überzeugt es mit der sauberen Verarbeitung und der sehr guten Bildqualität.

Das Makro-Planar kann mit sehr hohen Auflösungwerten glänzen, die zum Rand hin moderat nachlassen. Wie üblich bei Zeiss, gibt es keine AF-Unterstützung, und das Preisniveau ist eher gehoben. Sehr gutes Tele für 1600 Euro.
