The Zoom H2n features five different configurable microphones (Mid-Side Stereo, 90° X/Y Stereo, 2-channel, and 4-channel recording modes), as well as a mic/line input, and records either MP3 at up to 320 Kb/s or WAV at a maximum 24bit/96kHz quality onto an SD card. The Zoom H2n is a handheld recorder that expands on the versatile capabilities of its predecessors. Two standard AA batteries provide a runtime of 20 hours, and it can also be powered via USB. By separately recording a mid and side signal, it is possible to determine the stereo width of the audio material on the Zoom H2n in advance.
