4. Neutrik EMC Series NC3FXX-EMC
The EMC-XLR series is a specially designed version of the XX series that provides enhanced protection against high-frequency interference (radio, mobile phone, etc.) for critical applications, such as live performances or recordings. The construction ensures complete RF shielding from the cable to the connector housing through a 360° shield contact. The capacitor acts as a high-pass filter with a cutoff frequency in the range of 10 MHz. A ferrite bead with 24 Ohms at 1 MHz between pin 1 and the cable shield helps suppress electromagnetic interference.
